Only a few hours from the nation’s capital and an important industrial and commercial hub, Baltimore has a lot to offer its residents. It should come as no surprise, then, that there are lots of cable TV providers to choose from, but with everyone making promises, it’s hard to know which one to choose. We’ve reviewed what’s out there and determined these three to be the best:
Xfinity is the most widely-available cable TV service in Baltimore, so for many, this might actually be your only choice. However, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Xfinity offers more than 250 channels, a large On Demand library, and a mobile app that allows you to control your DVR and watch TV from wherever you are, meaning you won’t ever have to worry about missing your favorite shows.
In addition, Xfinity customers get to use the X1 voice-controlled remote, which makes it super easy to find and record what you want to watch.
You can also bundle your Xfinity TV with other services to save money on your monthly bills.
RCN is a nice alternative to Xfinity, although it is not anywhere nearly as abundant as Xfinity. That being said, if you can access it, you should consider it. It offers 285+ channels and a TiVo DVR system that makes it easy to record shows and watch them no matter where you are.
DirecTV offers customers around 360 channels, but probably the most exciting thing about this service – for some – is NFL Sunday Ticket and the other sports packages exclusive to DirecTV. If these are important to you, give DirecTV a shot. But if not, you may want to look at some of the other options on this list.
As such a large, busy city, it’s not surprising there are so many cable providers to choose from in Baltimore. But make things easy on yourself by taking a good look at these three options. It’s likely you’ll find what you need.
